In my paintings I am trying to capture sacred silent moments which are shared by nature's beauties. Oftentimes, I feel the camaraderie between animate and inanimate form and this becomes the focus of the piece. Color, pattern, design and abstract plasticity are the main concern. To paint is to create new and exciting color combinations. Careful consideration for positive/negative shapes is always a must.
My imagery is decorative and representational, however the abstract principles are foremost in each piece. The motifs of my paintings are strongly influenced by my love for gardening and decorating. The finished results of my paintings are often a surprise to me because the journey leads me to unanticipated places.
